“We are many at the same time.” Virginia Woolf’s novel “Orlando – A biography” was the creative impetus for the projet’s conception. CERNE is the result of a research regarding Orlando’s character, emming from clothing. The costumes – a starting point for scenic creation -interpret the various temporal, spatial, and emotional in ances that run through Orlando. Searching the clothing for the possibility of transformation, different readings are created on the body, appearance, image and identity, thus emphasising the costume’s expressive features.
