This concert was a meeting between the “distinctive voice, charisma and powerful performance of brilliant violinist, guitarist, composer and singer Dani Black” and the “hot, clear and secure voice” of the São Paulo artist Mariana Aydar, both important names of the new generation of MPB (Brazilian popular music) musicians from S. Paulo.

Mariana Aydar (b. 1980) made her professional debut in 2000, with Miltinho Ediberto’s band, a folk guitar player, and later with Banda Caruá, where she teamed up as a vocalist for two years, performing alongside Chico César and Virgínia Rosa. During that period of time, she took part in the project Elba Invites, where she performed with Samuel Rosa (Skank), Toni Garrido (Cidade Negra), Trio Virgulino, Dominguinhos, Arnaldo Antunes. She also did backing vocals for Daniela Mercury at the Bahia Carnival. In 2004 Mariana was invited by Seu Jorge for the opening act of his European tour. Her debut album, Kavita 1 (which means “poet” in Sanskrit) was released in 2006.

Daniel Espíndola Black is a Brazilian singer, writer, composer, arranger and guitarist.
Dani Black (b. 1987, Brazil) started his career with first record called “Dani Black” (2011). Before going solo in 2010 he was part of a band called “5 a seco” (2009). Dani released his second studio album called “Dilúvio”, in 2015, after Dani Black EP SP ao vivo (2013).
