Contemporary Dance piece inspired on the live of Aristides Sousa Mendes (1885-1954), the insubordinate Portuguese consul who saved 30.000 persons from a certain death. From June 16th to 23rd 1940, Aristides de Sousa Mendes disobeyed the rules imposed by dictator Salazar and followed his own inner moral conscience. From June 17th to 19th, 30.000 visas were issued against the orders of dictator António de Oliveira Salazar.

Quorum Ballet is a contemporary repertoire dance company with a high level of demand and quality in their performances. Founded in 2005 by its Artistic Director, resident choreographer and dancer Daniel Cardoso has presented its work in several cities throughout Portugal including some of the most prestigious national theatres, and internationally toured Denmark, USA (New York), Poland, Singapore, Germany, Swiss, Macau, China, Spain, Serbia, Ecuador, Holland, Cyprus, Algeria and Thailand.
